Solid K-12 curriculum, minor glitches

We recently purchased their K-12 Digital Curriculum. The content quality is high, and it aligns well with state standards. Delivery of the access codes was quick. However, we did experience a few minor login glitches for students on older tablets which required some troubleshooting with their customer service. They were responsive, but it did take a bit of back-and-forth. The overall value for the breadth of curriculum is good, but I hope they improve compatibility for older devices in future updates.

Effective for student diagnostic tools

Our district implemented Edmentum's Assessment Solutions this past school year, specifically for student diagnostic tools. The setup process was fairly smooth, though it took our IT team a few calls with their support to integrate fully with our existing systems. Once running, the diagnostic reports were comprehensive and really helped us identify specific learning gaps. We also utilized some of their professional development for our teachers, which was informative, if a little generic in parts. Overall, it's a solid platform for assessment and planning.

Consistent results with Exact Path

We've been using Exact Path for three years now, and this latest renewal was just as smooth as the previous ones. The platform is consistently reliable, and the student progress tracking is exactly what our teachers need. It integrates well with our daily lessons and the kids are familiar with it. No surprises, which is a good thing in education tech. It's why we keep coming back.

Got a good deal for Courseware

I was looking for a cost-effective solution for our small school and Edmentum offered a good district pricing for their Courseware. The sales team was responsive and helped us understand the multi-year contract discount. It felt like a worthwhile investment, especially compared to other platforms we looked at. We saved a good bit compared to paying annually.

Study Island is fantastic!

Study Island is absolutely fantastic! Our students love it and it's made a huge difference in their test scores. The interactive lessons keep them engaged and the teachers find it incredibly easy to use. We're definitely renewing our license next year!

Does Edmentum ever do promo codes or like a Black Friday deal? Trying to get a good price for our school's renewal.

P Phil Reyes 2 months ago
They don't really do 'promo codes' like for a normal online store. It's more about negotiating with their sales team. District size, contract length, that kinda thing determines the discount.

Yeah, I remember asking about a coupon once and they said no. They do offer things like free trials or pilot programs, and you can definitely get a better price if you're signing up for multiple years or have a big district.

Thinking of switching from IXL to Edmentum for our district. Has anyone used both and can tell me if the curriculum is generally better or easier to integrate?

M Mark 2 months ago
We used IXL before and switched to Edmentum (Exact Path) about two years ago. I found Edmentum's diagnostic tools much more helpful for pinpointing gaps, and the personalized learning paths felt more robust. Integration wasn't too bad, but always a learning curve with new tech.

From what I hear, Edmentum focuses a lot on alignment with state standards, which can be a big plus. Haven't used IXL personally but that's a key difference many people mention.

Thinking about getting some of their professional development stuff for our teachers. Is the training actually good, or just a basic walkthrough?

B Brett Y. 2 months ago
We've had their training for Study Island and it was pretty thorough. They covered a lot more than just 'how to click' and got into strategies. It really helped our teachers use it effectively.

I think they do provide training but your sales rep would know the specifics for what you're getting. It's usually part of the package or can be added on.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows if Edmentum is cool for just one kid? Like, can I buy it for my son for some extra help at home?

R Raj 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure it's mostly for schools and districts. I looked into it last year for my daughter and they seemed set up for bigger groups.

Yeah, I think they focus on institutional stuff. You'd probably need to contact their sales to even ask, but I doubt they sell to individual parents directly.

Is Edmentum accredited? Our school board is really big on making sure all our online resources are legit.

L Lisa Torres 1 month ago
Pretty sure they are. I seem to recall that being a big selling point when our district adopted them. Good question to ask their sales team for the official documentation though.

Yes, they are. They make a point of being compliant with various educational standards and accreditation. You'd want to check their site or ask your sales rep for the details specific to your region if you need proof for your board.
